On January 20, the Renault Group announced that its global sales reached 2,336,807 vehicles in 2025, an increase of 3.2% year-over-year. Of this total, the Renault brand sold 1,628,030 units (+3.2%), while Dacia sold 697,408 units (+3.1%). The Group plans to refresh and expand its lineup of internal combustion engine and electric vehicles in Europe in 2026 and accelerate its international expansion. Earlier this year, newly appointed CEO Luca de Meo chose China as his first overseas destination after taking office, underscoring the company’s strong focus on the Chinese market. Renault also revealed it will unveil its mid-term strategic plan in March 2026, centered around four pillars: products, operations, partnerships, and talent. Notably, the Shanghai-based ACDC R&D center—established in 2024—completed development of the Twingo E-Tech electric vehicle in just 21 months, setting a benchmark for “China speed.” Two additional A-segment EV models from Dacia and Nissan, based on the same platform, are expected to be developed within 16 months.
