Leveraging a "chain leader-driven + cluster collaboration" model, Beijing is accelerating the development of an integrated automotive industry ecosystem across the entire city. In vehicle manufacturing, Beijing hosts joint-venture brands such as Beijing Benz and Beijing Hyundai, alongside domestic and emerging automakers including Li Auto, Xiaomi, BAIC Off-Road, Foton, and Changan. Specifically, the Shunyi manufacturing base—home to Beijing Hyundai, Li Auto, and BAIC Off-Road—is projected to exceed an annual production capacity of 950,000 vehicles by 2026. Meanwhile, the combined capacity of Xiaomi’s Tongzhou base and Changan’s Fangshan facility will surpass 700,000 vehicles annually. In the auto parts sector, over 1,500 suppliers are clustered in Haidian, Chaoyang, and Daxing districts, covering core areas such as intelligent cockpits, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and electrification. Leading companies like CATL, Horizon Robotics, and BOE are deeply involved in vehicle R&D and supply chains. Beijing’s automotive industry is rapidly advancing toward high-end, intelligent manufacturing and becoming more deeply integrated into the global supply chain.
