On January 21, 2026, the China Insurance Property & Casualty Vehicle Safety Index (C-IASI) released its second batch of 2025 vehicle assessment results, covering four models: the Denza N9, Li Auto i8, Volkswagen Tayron L, and Audi A5L Sportback. Among these, three are SUVs and two are new energy vehicles (NEVs). The evaluation showed that the Denza N9, Li Auto i8, and Volkswagen Tayron L all received "Good" or higher ratings across the three core categories—occupant protection, pedestrian protection, and safety assist—achieving a "full Good" result. All four models earned "Good" ratings in roof strength and seat/head restraint tests, and 100% of them came standard with AEB (Automatic Emergency Braking) and E-call functions. In NEV-specific tests, both the Denza N9 and Li Auto i8 received "Good" ratings. Only the Audi A5L Sportback was rated as "Acceptable" in crashworthiness and repairability; all other models performed exceptionally well.
