Li Auto is evaluating the closure of certain underperforming stores with low operational efficiency to enhance its overall operational effectiveness. This adjustment primarily targets inefficient outlets opened during its expansion phase, though the exact number of closures has not yet been determined. In 2023, Li Auto rapidly expanded by adding 179 new retail centers; by the end of 2025, the company operated 548 retail centers nationwide, covering 159 cities. Although vehicle deliveries reached 376,000 units in 2023—a year-over-year surge of 182.2%—deliveries in 2024 totaled approximately 410,000 units, falling short of its target of over 500,000 units. To penetrate lower-tier markets, Li Auto launched the "Hundred Cities, Bright Stars" initiative last year, adopting a light-asset model: sales are managed directly by Li Auto, while partners handle store fit-outs and equipment, enabling cost-efficient market expansion.
