In a recent institutional investor briefing, Zhongwei New Materials disclosed that it has established partnerships with multiple leading solid-state battery companies both domestically and internationally, with current shipments of solid-state battery materials nearing 50 metric tons. The company’s high-nickel and ultra-high-nickel precursor materials are compatible with solid-state battery technology pathways, positioning it to benefit from the rapid advancement of this sector. Meanwhile, Zhongwei is strengthening its upstream resource strategy by securing nickel ore supply and building an integrated nickel raw materials industrial base to advance its vertically integrated supply chain. Additionally, the company is actively expanding into lithium iron phosphate (LFP), lithium resources, and sodium-ion batteries. It has already secured and delivered kiloton-scale sodium-ion battery orders for 2025, with significant growth in sodium-ion battery shipments expected in 2026.
