GAC Honda launched the new Fit model on January 15, 2026, offering it nationwide at a fixed price of RMB 66,800, with only 3,000 units available. This represents a direct RMB 20,000 price drop compared to the previous generation, sparking a buying frenzy—orders have already surpassed 5,000 units. However, some dealerships have been reported to charge consumers an additional fee of approximately RMB 3,000 under the pretext of "limited allocation," citing reasons such as vehicle transfer and transportation, PDI inspection, and license plate registration services. In response, GAC Honda stated that these extra charges are not authorized by the manufacturer but are instead independent actions taken by certain dealers. The company explicitly opposes any practices that harm customer interests and has already initiated a special investigation, pledging to supervise and require corrective actions from the involved dealerships. Currently, most dealerships continue to strictly adhere to the fixed-price policy, though ongoing vigilance is needed to address these irregularities.
