Smart has recently ended its partnerships with third-party charging operators such as TELD and Star Charge due to the expiration of cooperation agreements, and has now fully integrated into the Zeekr Energy charging network under Geely Holding Group. Zeekr Energy employs a "self-built + partnership" model and, as of the end of 2023, had launched 2,074 self-operated charging stations, including 1,213 ultra-fast charging stations. It also collaborates with over 50 domestic public charging operators to enhance users’ charging experience. The Smart brand was jointly established in 2020 by Geely and Mercedes-Benz, focusing on premium electric and intelligent vehicles. Its current lineup includes the all-electric SUVs #1, #3, and #5, as well as its first plug-in hybrid model, the #5 EHD. In 2025, Smart sold approximately 27,000 vehicles in China, a 6.9% year-over-year decline. Some models are currently in the inventory-clearance phase, accompanied by significant discounts. The brand plans to launch two new models this year—a luxury hatchback coupe and a two-seater vehicle—to further expand its market presence.
