Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of *Gran Turismo 7*, recently teased that the game will receive an update next week featuring a new car whose appearance—reportedly equipped with LiDAR sensors—has led fans to speculate it is the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra. This follows the official announcement on June 8, 2025, by Xiaomi and *Gran Turismo* developer Polyphony Digital confirming the SU7 Ultra’s inclusion in the game. In an interview, Yamauchi revealed that the team’s vehicle selection criteria go beyond historical significance, cultural relevance, and design aesthetics—the most crucial factor being whether he “genuinely loves” the car himself. As a devoted car enthusiast and racing driver, he insists that his team personally visits racetracks to collect authentic driving data, ensuring the game delivers a highly realistic experience. His personal garage includes high-performance vehicles such as the Nissan GT-R and Porsche 911 GT3.
