Tesla CEO Elon Musk recently confirmed on X that the company's autonomous ride-hailing vehicle, Cybercab, will enter mass production in April this year. Currently, prototype vehicles are undergoing winter testing in Alaska, USA, and have been fitted with snow tires to handle harsh cold-weather conditions. Musk also cautioned that initial production volumes of the Cybercab will ramp up slowly, as the new model incorporates numerous entirely new components and manufacturing processes, following a typical S-curve for production ramp-up. Although the vehicle is nearing the start of production, Tesla continues to conduct extensive reliability validation to ensure stable performance in real-world driving environments.
