Toyota has retained its position as the world's top-selling automaker for the sixth consecutive year. In 2025, Toyota (including Daihatsu and Hino) recorded global sales of 11,322,575 vehicles, up 4.6% year-over-year, and production of 11,221,960 units, an increase of 5.7%. During the same period, Volkswagen Group delivered 8,983,900 vehicles globally, a slight decline of 0.5% year-over-year, widening the gap between the two automakers to approximately 2.3 million units.
