A car technician recently vented on social media about his frustrating experience replacing brake pads on a 2002 Honda Civic. He made two trips to AutoZone, only to receive incorrect parts both times—first being given Accord brake pads, and then CR-V pads on his second visit. In a video, he said, "I just wanted to quietly replace a set of brake pads, but after two trips, neither part was correct." Online commenters suggested he use the vehicle’s VIN to look up the original equipment part number on the manufacturer’s website and cross-check before purchasing to avoid such errors. AutoZone allows returns within 90 days with a receipt and original packaging; even without a receipt, customers can contact customer service for assistance. The technician has not yet responded to media requests for further comment.
