In an effort to revive sales in the French market, Stellantis Group has recently implemented significant price cuts across its Fiat, Opel, and Peugeot brands. A specific version of the Fiat Panda is now priced at €9,990, while the starting price for the gasoline-powered Opel Corsa has been reduced from €20,900 to €15,900. Lease rates for popular models like the Peugeot 208 have also been lowered accordingly. Didier Leroy, head of Stellantis France, stated that the company will pursue even more aggressive pricing and brand positioning strategies in 2025. Meanwhile, the group plans to open new stores in Paris to fill the gap left by its earlier withdrawal from the city center. Thanks to increased production capacity at its Sochaux plant, Stellantis boosted its vehicle output in France to 661,000 units last year. Since taking office, new CEO Antonio Filosa has already launched across-the-board price reductions and will unveil a comprehensive new strategy in the first half of this year to address intensifying competition from Chinese automakers and challenges posed by overcapacity in Europe.
