Recently, Amy, a woman from Connecticut, found herself trapped in her car by flash flooding while driving in Florida. She recorded a video from inside her vehicle, tearfully saying, “The water is almost up to the windows. When she tried to reverse, the engine stalled, and the windows wouldn’t roll down. Fortunately, firefighters arrived shortly afterward, manually cranked down the window, and rescued her. Soaked through, Amy was taken to safety and given a commemorative T-shirt. Her Lincoln MKS sedan was later towed away and declared a total loss. Experts warn: never attempt to restart a vehicle after it has been submerged, as this can cause severe damage such as "hydrolock." Above all, personal safety always comes before the vehicle.
