Cui Dongshu, Secretary-General of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), pointed out that China's current charging infrastructure faces issues such as overall oversupply coupled with imbalanced distribution, outdated technology in older slow-charging piles, and uneven service quality. He emphasized that promoting private slow charging is the right direction and that the adoption of home chargers should be accelerated—benefiting both grid load balancing during off-peak hours and the sustainable development of electric vehicles. As the number of new energy vehicles continues to grow, he stressed the need to build a high-quality charging network: phasing out low-power AC chargers, upgrading to high-power DC fast chargers, and improving operational standards to better meet user demands and support the green, low-carbon transformation of transportation and modern infrastructure development.
