On February 2, BYD officially launched a new sub-brand, "Linghui Auto," targeting B2B mobility markets such as ride-hailing and taxis. This marks BYD's fourth independent sub-brand, following Denza, Fangchengbao, and Yangwang. Linghui will operate through dedicated sales channels and has already filed four models with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT): - The e5, a compact all-electric sedan based on the Qin PLUS EV; - The e7, a mid-size all-electric sedan derived from the Sealion 07 EV platform; - The e9, a premium all-electric sedan exceeding 5 meters in length, evolved from the Han series; - The M9, a plug-in hybrid MPV built on the Xia platform, offering a combined driving range of over 1,200 kilometers. Covering both battery-electric and plug-in hybrid powertrains, Linghui’s product lineup is tailored for diverse commercial use cases, including ride-hailing, premium chauffeur services, business travel, and government or corporate hospitality. Despite its B2B focus, Linghui vehicles will still feature BYD’s proprietary core technologies, including the "God’s Eye" advanced driver-assistance system, Yunniang intelligent chassis control, e-Platform 3.0, and the fifth-generation DM hybrid technology.
