Desay SV has officially launched its first 8T8R 4D millimeter-wave radar supporting satellite architecture, which has already been selected by leading domestic automakers and is expected to become the world’s first mass-produced 8T8R 4D millimeter-wave radar this year. Featuring an 8-transmit/8-receive waveguide antenna design, the radar delivers over 30% higher angular accuracy and 150% greater point cloud density compared to mainstream 6T8R products. It achieves a maximum detection range exceeding 300 meters, reliably identifying traffic cones at distances beyond 120 meters and stationary vehicles up to 280 meters away. Natively compatible with centralized computing architectures, the radar directly outputs raw data to the domain controller, enabling “lightweight sensors and intelligent perception.” With the implementation of China’s new AEB standards and the evolution from L2+ toward L3 autonomy, 4D millimeter-wave radars are rapidly being integrated into vehicles, with 2026 poised to mark their year of large-scale adoption. Leveraging its full-stack in-house R&D capabilities and seamless integration with domain controllers, Desay SV has built a comprehensive radar portfolio covering both 3D and 4D solutions tailored for multiple vehicle platforms, accelerating the widespread deployment of advanced intelligent driving perception systems.
