In response to recent rumors about Bosch China initiating large-scale layoffs, the company has explicitly denied such claims. Bosch China stated that the current personnel adjustments involve only certain traditional business units and do not constitute a company-wide layoff, describing the move as a normal strategic realignment amid industry transformation. As an enterprise employing over 50,000 people in China, such targeted optimizations are commonplace against the backdrop of the ongoing automotive industry transition. Official figures show that Bosch China reported sales of RMB 149.8 billion (approximately €18.46 billion) in fiscal year 2025, an increase of 4.9% year-over-year. The company emphasized that China remains a strategically vital market, and it will continue to increase investment to drive growth across multiple business areas.
