On February 7, the all-new Aito M6 was officially listed in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) new vehicle application catalog, with a market launch expected in April. Positioned as a mid-to-large five-seater family SUV, the new model will be available in both extended-range electric (EREV) and battery-electric (BEV) variants, with dual-motor all-wheel drive standard across all trims. The BEV version features a rare-for-its-class 100 kWh ternary lithium battery pack and offers two powertrain configurations: either Huawei’s dual-motor setup (160 kW + 180 kW) or a combination of Seres’ self-developed front motor and Huawei’s rear motor (227 kW + 227 kW). The EREV variant is powered by a 1.5T engine (112 kW) paired with front and rear dual motors (165 kW + 180 kW), matched with either a 37 kWh or 53 kWh battery pack. Measuring 4,960 mm long, 1,985 mm wide, and 1,736 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm, the vehicle comes with 20- or 21-inch wheels, semi-flush door handles, and both roof-mounted and rear-facing solid-state LiDAR sensors. An optional electric side step is also available. Exterior-wise, the BEV and EREV versions are largely identical, differing only slightly in the front bumper design. At the rear, both feature the brand’s signature full-width light bar. The new M6 will be offered in multiple color options, targeting the young family market.
