On February 8, Lei Jun posted an article reflecting on Xiaomi's live-streamed automotive lab session, highlighting battery pack vibration and impact tests. In Xiaomi's battery vibration testing lab, the company simulates various vibrations and shocks encountered during vehicle operation to comprehensively verify the safety and reliability of its batteries. The vibration tests not only replicate damage caused by bumpy road conditions but also cover an ultra-wide temperature range far exceeding China's national standard (25°C). Meanwhile, the impact tests simulate the instantaneous forces exerted on the battery pack when a vehicle traveling at medium to high speeds passes over deep potholes or high curbs. Both tests are significantly more stringent than national standards, aiming to ensure the stability and safety of the battery system under extreme operating conditions.
