According to the latest report from Chezhizheng (China’s leading automotive quality complaint platform), a total of 3,365 verified consumer complaints related to tires were received in 2025—an increase of 111.5% year-over-year—accounting for 1.5% of all automotive complaints that year. Complaints were heavily concentrated on "tire cracking," with its share rising significantly, while "tire wear" entered the top five tire-related issues for the first time. Complaints against Korean tire brands surged by 330.3%, making up over half of all tire-related complaints, whereas Japanese brands saw a notable decline. Compact cars generated the highest number of complaints, while large SUVs experienced a staggering 12-fold increase in complaints. More than 60% of reported issues occurred within 1–3 years after purchase, and over 50% happened between 20,000 and 50,000 kilometers of driving. Shandong, Hebei, and Jiangsu provinces ranked as the top three regions filing complaints. Notably, 23 tire manufacturers achieved a response rate of 97.4%, with six domestic Chinese brands making a remarkable leap from 0% to 100% response rates, demonstrating a proactive and responsible approach to addressing consumer concerns.
