BMW Group announced it will launch more than 40 new or updated models by the end of 2027, significantly accelerating its electrification strategy and product renewal pace. In 2025, BMW delivered over 2.46 million vehicles globally, a 0.5% year-over-year increase, including 442,072 fully electric vehicles—accounting for 17.9% of total sales, or roughly one in every six BMWs sold. The MINI brand achieved an even higher electrification rate, with one in every three MINIs sold being fully electric. By June 2025, BMW had delivered its 1.5 millionth fully electric vehicle and expects to reach 2 million by 2026, expanding its fully electric lineup to 20 models. Demand for the first Neue Klasse production model, the iX3, remains strong, representing one-third of all-electric BMW orders in Europe, prompting the Debrecen plant to operate double shifts. The second Neue Klasse model, the BMW i3, will make its global debut on March 18. Additionally, in 2027, BMW M will introduce its first high-performance fully electric model based on the Neue Klasse platform, marking the beginning of a new era of track-focused electric M cars.
