Fresh spy photos of Mercedes-Benz’s new entry-level off-roader—nicknamed the “Baby G” or “Little G”—have surfaced, revealing significantly reduced camouflage and clearer details of the vehicle’s body. The test mule is wrapped in a bold pattern of acid-green and light-gray lowercase “g” motifs, strongly hinting that its official name could be “g-Class,” distinguishing it from the iconic G-Class. Positioned below the classic G-Class in the lineup, the new model features a high window line, a compact body proportion, large round headlights, and exaggerated wheel arches, giving it an overall cuter, more approachable appearance that contrasts sharply with the rugged, boxy styling of the full-size G-Wagen. Although commonly referred to externally as the “Baby G” or “Little G,” Mercedes-Benz appears to favor the “g-Class” moniker to underscore its familial ties to the legendary G-Class. However, the similar naming could potentially confuse consumers, and if the price gap between the two models proves substantial, it might also affect brand perception among current G-Class owners.
