Tesla's production version of its autonomous Cybercab robotaxi recently appeared in Austin, Texas. Designed for fully driverless operation without a steering wheel, the vehicle features an enlarged front-facing camera array—possibly in preparation for Tesla’s upcoming AI5 (Hardware 5.0) system—and adds a new trunk-mounted camera to help prevent passengers from leaving belongings behind. Inside, traditional carpeting has been replaced with high-strength, wear-resistant floor mats, and blue ambient lighting has been integrated into the door panels to aid nighttime operations. The chassis uses a staggered tire setup with narrower front and wider rear tires (rear: 225/60R21). Mass production of the vehicle is scheduled to begin in April this year.
