Recently, owners of vehicles from brands such as Neta X, Jiyue, and HiPhi have frequently encountered after-sales service difficulties. Due to operational standstills at these automakers, many regions lack authorized 4S dealerships, resulting in prolonged shortages of repair parts. Issues like faulty power batteries and infotainment systems remain unresolved, and even problems such as mismatched paint colors on car bodies have emerged. Since the beginning of 2025, complaints related to these three brands have exceeded 50 cases, severely disrupting daily vehicle use. Nevertheless, nearly new models from these defunct or struggling brands are surprisingly popular in the used-car market. For instance, the Jiyue 07—originally priced above RMB 200,000, equipped with a 100 kWh CATL battery pack and offering over 700 km of range—now sells for less than RMB 100,000 in the secondhand market. Many buyers believe these vehicles are still under warranty and thus carry relatively low short-term usage risks, making them attractive "bargain buys" and driving demand for discontinued models.
