On March 15, an incident occurred at the Hangzhou "3·15 Consumer Rights Protection" auto show, where staff members from an automaker obstructed a car owner attempting to exercise their right to seek redress. A video circulating online showed that when a domestic new-energy vehicle owner drove to the event to file a complaint, a masked man deliberately placed his foot under the car’s wheel—apparently staging a "scam collision." Despite onlookers condemning his actions, the man refused to move and ultimately forced the owner to reverse and leave the scene. Additionally, since as early as 6 a.m., large numbers of unidentified individuals had gathered outside the exhibition venue, claiming they were merely "curious bystanders." In reality, they immediately intercepted vehicles belonging to targeted brands upon spotting them and tried to dissuade owners from entering the event by urging them to "resolve matters privately" and promising "satisfactory solutions." Such conduct not only infringes upon consumers’ legitimate rights to seek redress but also severely disrupted the order of the auto show, sparking widespread public outrage and condemnation.
