BYD Accelerates Charging Network Expansion! According to the latest official data, within just one week (March 6–12)—following the launch of its second-generation Blade Battery and 1,500 kW ultra-fast charging stations on March 4—BYD added 358 new ultra-fast charging stations, bringing its total to 4,597 stations across 279 cities nationwide. The company plans to have 20,000 such stations operational by the end of this year. Vehicles equipped with the second-generation Blade Battery can charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes, with significantly improved charging efficiency even in low-temperature conditions. The ultra-fast charging stations feature a world-first suspended cable-and-gun design, allowing users to lift the charger with one hand and plug in instantly—no smartphone operation required. BYD emphasizes that its station deployment model is highly convenient and efficient, likening installation to "installing an air conditioner." The company also guarantees lifetime warranty coverage for battery cells and assures that ultra-fast charging has no adverse impact on battery lifespan.
