A man in Ohio spent approximately $100,000 last December on a brand-new Dodge Ram pickup truck, only to have it repeatedly break down due to transmission issues within three months—problems that persisted despite multiple repair attempts. The owner, Matt Toney, returned to the dealership, Victory Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Marietta, seeking answers. During the ensuing argument, he was asked to leave and was eventually escorted off the premises by police. Footage from the scene shows Toney accusing the dealership of failing to properly test the vehicle after repairs, causing it to break down again almost immediately after leaving the service center. The dealership countered that it is responsible only for sales and performing repairs according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, stating, “We sell cars—we don’t build them.” Although the dealership later said it had offered Toney $500 for towing, a new loaner vehicle, and proposed transferring the truck to a facility with more advanced technical capabilities for further diagnosis, Toney is still considering pursuing legal recourse under Ohio’s Lemon Law. The dispute remains unresolved publicly.
