On March 23, Bosch (India) Limited and Tata AutoComp Systems Limited (TACO) announced the formation of a 50:50 joint venture focused on India’s electric vehicle (EV) market. The joint venture is scheduled to commence operations by mid-2026, with its headquarters in Pune, and will specialize in the development, manufacturing, and sales of eAxle systems and electric motors. This move aims to address the rapidly growing demand in India for localized and scalable electric mobility solutions. Bosch has already invested over €6 billion globally in the EV sector, and this partnership will further accelerate the localization of its advanced electric drive technologies in India. The transaction has been approved by both companies’ boards of directors and is pending regulatory approvals before formal implementation.
