On September 1, the all-new locally produced Mercedes-Benz long-wheelbase GLE SUV officially rolled off the production line at Beijing Benz's Shunyi plant. The vehicle features a wheelbase of 3,115 mm and is powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six engine equipped with an electric auxiliary turbocharger, delivering a peak torque of 560 N·m. It also integrates a 17 kW ISG (Integrated Starter Generator) intelligent motor and a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Standard equipment includes the 4MATIC intelligent all-wheel-drive system and AIRMATIC air suspension, providing a minimum ground clearance of 271 mm in off-road mode. According to the official schedule, the new model will officially launch in September.
