2026-01-13 07:37:00Following the 2026 CES exhibition, Yu Hao, founder of Dreame Technology, announced plans to build "the first hundred-trillion-dollar ecosystem in human history" and officially enter the ultra-luxury electric vehicle (EV) market. The company’s first model will target Bugatti as its benchmark and is scheduled for launch in 2027. Although Dreame has achieved annual revenue approaching RMB 30 billion through its robotic vacuum cleaner business and holds over 6,000 global patents, industry insiders remain generally cautious about its move into automotive manufacturing. Experts point out that motor technologies developed for home appliances cannot be directly transferred to automotive-grade applications, and the ultra-luxury EV market is highly limited, with annual global sales under 100,000 units. Comparing Dreame’s strategy to previous cross-industry entrants like Xiaomi and Skyworth, analysts emphasize that successful carmaking requires sustained investment and a robust manufacturing infrastructure—factors that cannot be substituted by bold public narratives alone. Some observers argue that Dreame’s grand vision appears more like fundraising rhetoric; if it disregards fundamental industrial realities, it risks repeating the fate of LeEco.
