The latest official images reveal that the Shangjie Z7 adopts HarmonyOS Smart Mobility’s family design language, featuring starburst headlights, a LiDAR sensor, frameless side mirrors, and other signature elements. Its overall styling closely resembles the Porsche Taycan and shares strong visual similarities with the Xiaomi SU7. In 2026, the Shangjie Z7, Xiaomi SU7, Zhijie S7, and Qijing Shooting Brake will directly compete in the premium all-electric sedan market priced above RMB 200,000. All four models emphasize driving dynamics and smart ecosystem integration, yet they face growing criticism over design homogenization and excessive “Porsche-like” aesthetics. In terms of intelligence, Huawei-backed models come equipped with advanced driver-assistance systems, while Xiaomi is still playing catch-up. Pricing-wise, the Xiaomi SU7 starts at RMB 229,900, whereas the other three may offer more flexibility. China’s domestic premium EV sedans urgently need to break free from this homogeneity trap and forge genuinely differentiated paths forward.
