At 22:33 on February 6, NIO announced the completion of its 100 millionth battery swap, with the user being an ET5 Touring owner from Haining, Zhejiang. That evening, NIO CEO William Li livestreamed from the Nanxiang Delivery Center in Jiading, Shanghai, to witness this milestone. To date, NIO’s battery swap network has delivered a cumulative total of 5.28 billion kWh of electricity. Compared to conventional charging, this has saved users over 83.41 million hours—averaging 88 hours per person—and saved more than RMB 26.3 billion compared to refueling gasoline vehicles, equivalent to RMB 27,000 per user. Additionally, battery swapping has contributed to a carbon reduction of 4,169.5 tons—equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of 167,000 trees—and supported grid load balancing by shifting 740 million kWh of peak electricity demand. As of February 6, 2026, NIO has built a nationwide network of 8,627 charging and battery swap stations, including 3,729 battery swap stations—over 1,020 of which are located at highway service areas—and integrated 42,590 third-party charging piles. On the previous day, NIO also announced it expects to achieve its first quarterly profit in Q4 2025, with full-year deliveries projected at approximately 326,000 vehicles, representing a 47% year-over-year increase.
