(CATARC) and China FAW Group signed an agreement in Changchun to professionally integrate their automotive testing businesses. Through equity transfers, the two parties will pool resources to establish a comprehensive testing and certification system covering intelligent connected new energy vehicles. Following the integration, CATARC’s technical service capabilities will exceed 6,000 items, and it will build an international “going global” support system to help Chinese automakers align with global standards and integrate into the international industrial landscape. An Tiecheng, Chairman of CATARC, stated that this collaboration represents a significant step in leveraging complementary strengths among central state-owned enterprises to serve national strategic objectives. Qiu Xiandong, Chairman of China FAW, emphasized the focus on enhancing core technologies and jointly building a world-class testing and certification platform. Wu Bo, Executive Vice Mayor of Changchun, pledged full municipal support for the project’s implementation, promoting synergy between central and local governments as well as integration among industry, academia, and research institutions.
