Great Wall Motor's Mandeville Components Plant, located in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area, passed its final inspection on January 21, 2026, and is expected to commence full-scale production in March this year. With a total investment of RMB 1.153 billion and covering an area of 100,000 square meters, the facility comprises a Thermal Systems Plant and an Optoelectronics Plant. The former focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of vehicle thermal management modules—such as HVAC assemblies and cooling modules—while the latter handles external lighting systems, including headlamps and side lamps. The plant’s products are deeply integrated with Great Wall’s “Guiyuan” vehicle platform, incorporating vehicle interface standards and performance requirements right from the design phase. Designed for an annual capacity of 400,000 units/sets, the facility is projected to generate approximately RMB 3 billion in annual revenue once fully operational, creating over 1,000 jobs. Situated adjacent to Great Wall’s Tianjin vehicle assembly base, the plant enables synchronized supply, significantly reducing logistics distances, lowering inventory levels, and enhancing response efficiency. This project marks a strategic step by Great Wall Motor toward forward-integrated deployment and systematic consolidation of key components under its platform-based development strategy.
