Subsequent tests revealed similar issues in other brands: Zeekr models can deactivate headlights while driving by simply saying "turn off all lights," and the Deepal S05 also executes this command, immediately disabling external lighting. In contrast, Tesla and Xiaomi Auto have implemented safety restrictions—Tesla prompts drivers to park before performing such operations, while Xiaomi requires the vehicle to be in Park (P) mode before allowing voice-activated headlight deactivation. XPeng allows this function only through customized shortcut commands, and its customer service emphasizes that low-beam headlights must be manually turned off to prevent accidental deactivation. Zeekr’s customer support stated that under normal circumstances, voice-controlled headlight deactivation is not supported while driving and is only available in Park mode; Deepal’s customer service responded that “actual operation takes precedence.” The significant differences in safety logic among automakers regarding voice-controlled lighting highlight the need for users to exercise caution.
