2026-03-17 10:15:00At the GTC 2026 conference held on March 17, NVIDIA announced that its DRIVE Hyperion platform has been adopted by BYD, Geely, Isuzu, Nissan, and mobility service providers Bolt and Grab to develop next-generation Level 4 (L4) autonomous driving systems. The platform is a complete, production-ready reference architecture for autonomous vehicles, integrating a standardized sensor suite, high-performance NVIDIA DRIVE compute units, and a robust software stack. Its key advantages include: a unified architecture that accelerates development, safety-focused L4 capabilities featuring redundant designs and functional safety mechanisms, and scalable deployment support enabling multi-vehicle reuse and over-the-air (OTA) updates. Through this platform, partners can reduce development complexity and costs while continuously updating vehicle features throughout their entire lifecycle to adapt to evolving regulations and real-world scenarios.
