On April 3, the fourth-generation Boyue L "Xiao Lan Deng" (Little Blue Light) Edition officially launched with a limited-time price of RMB 119,900. Equipped with the Qianli Haohan H3 advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), the model supports Highway & Elevated Navigation on Autopilot (HNOA), bringing high-end intelligent driving capabilities to gasoline-powered vehicles in the sub-RMB 120,000 segment. The new model features a distinctive "Qingshan Blue" exterior color and integrates a dedicated "Little Blue Light" indicator on the side mirrors, which automatically illuminates when advanced driver-assistance functions are activated. With dimensions of 4,730 mm (length) × 1,910 mm (width) × 1,700 mm (height) and a wheelbase of 2,785 mm, it is positioned as a compact SUV. Inside, the cabin is equipped with Geely’s Flyme Auto intelligent operating system, a 15.4-inch 2.5K ultra-high-definition full-screen display, four-zone voice interaction, and a 25.6-inch AR-HUD that projects traffic light countdowns and navigation information. Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing a maximum output of 133 kW, mated to a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The entire architecture is built upon Geely’s GEEA 3.0 electronic and electrical platform. For intelligent driving hardware, the car features three millimeter-wave radars, eleven high-sensitivity cameras, and twelve ultrasonic sensors. It adopts a vision-only, map-free solution, covering 380,000 km of national expressways and 30,000 km of urban elevated roads across China. Key functionalities include intelligent ramp entry/exit, speed-adjusted lane changes, stop-and-go traffic following, and obstacle avoidance maneuvers. First owners receive five years of complimentary HNOA service. Additionally, the urban ICC cruise control supports traffic light recognition. The parking system offers multiple modes—including APA, RPA, and FTP—and handles over 300 parking scenarios. In terms of active safety, the vehicle supports AEB automatic emergency braking at speeds up to 120 km/h and AES emergency steering assist up to 130 km/h. It also includes FACE ID driver monitoring, FCTA forward cross-traffic alert, EMA evasive steering assist, and RCTB rear cross-traffic braking. Currently, most gasoline vehicles priced under RMB 150,000 lack advanced NOA capabilities, while such features are becoming increasingly common in new energy vehicles. The Boyue L Xiao Lan Deng Edition aims to bridge this gap in intelligent driving experience. Its development faced significant challenges related to power supply, thermal management, and compatibility with legacy electronic architectures, requiring hardware-level upgrades to conventional internal combustion engine platforms. This model delivers comprehensive intelligent driving functionality across highway, urban commuting, and complex parking scenarios—without requiring OTA-based city activation. The strategy targets consumers who prefer the refueling convenience of gasoline vehicles but desire premium ADAS experiences. Real-world performance remains to be validated by the market.
