A short video shows Aston Martin testing an aggressively styled single-seater prototype. The car features an F1-style Halo cockpit protection system, a wide body, and front suspension similar to that of the Valkyrie—double wishbones with pushrod-actuated torsion bars. Its blade-like front bumper incorporates an under-nose splitter connected by a pair of vertical struts, giving the front end a design closely resembling the Valkyrie. Details at the rear are harder to discern, but a massive rear wing and centrally mounted exhaust outlets are visible. Behind the cockpit sits a large air intake, topped by a prominent shark fin that runs along the car’s spine—a design reminiscent of the Valkyrie LM variant. Audio from the video suggests the car may be powered by the same hybrid V12 engine as the Valkyrie: a Cosworth-developed 6.5-liter naturally aspirated unit with a redline of 11,000 rpm and a combined output of 1,160 horsepower. As the vehicle exits the track, the engine cuts out and it continues silently in pure electric mode. In standard configuration, the Valkyrie generates approximately 4,000 pounds of downforce and achieves 3.3g of lateral acceleration. The prototype seen in this test could represent an even more extreme derivative of the Valkyrie—or potentially its successor.
