NIO has recently launched the pre-sale of its new full-size flagship SUV, the ES9, positioned as an "intelligent electric executive flagship SUV." The pre-sale price ranges from RMB 528,000 to RMB 658,000. With NIO’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option, the starting price drops to RMB 420,000. Compared to the identically equipped ET9 sedan, the top-trim ES9 is priced RMB 160,000 lower. The ES9 surpasses the Rolls-Royce Cullinan in overall dimensions and leads its segment in longitudinal, lateral, and vertical interior space. Its cabin features full-grain, chrome-free tanned Nappa leather, over one square meter of genuine maple wood trim, 137 physical buttons, and 24 “Flight Mode” functional islands. Buyers can choose between two seating configurations: a center-console layout or an aisle layout. The second row is equipped with Flight Mode Zero-Gravity Executive Seats featuring a 17-layer comfort structure. Powered by NIO’s all-domain 900V high-voltage architecture, the ES9 is equipped with a 180kW front motor and a 340kW rear motor, delivering a combined system output of 520kW and peak torque of 700 N·m, enabling a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 4.3 seconds. Its intelligent driving assistance system is powered by the Shengji NX9031 chip and supported by 31 high-performance sensors, including three LiDAR units.
