The smart #2 prototype concept car will make its global debut at the Beijing Auto Show on April 24, alongside the launch of pre-sales for the smart #6 EHD. Positioned as a fully electric two-seater urban vehicle, it diverges from smart’s current SUV lineup, which includes the #1, #3, and #5 models. Designed by the Mercedes-Benz design team, the new model evolves from the original smart fortwo, retaining its iconic four-wheel, four-corner layout and rear-wheel-drive configuration while featuring completely new exterior and interior designs. The initial version will be a two-door hardtop, with a convertible variant potentially following later.
