Geely Auto Group announced it will unveil China’s first natively developed Robotaxi prototype vehicle at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition on April 24, 2026. Unlike retrofitted conventional vehicles, this model was purpose-built from the ground up on Geely’s Level 4 (L4) AI digital architecture, integrating the World Action Model (WAM) and L4 autonomous driving technology. It features industry-leading onboard computing power, advanced perception hardware, and physical AI capabilities. The prototype has been deeply customized by CaoCao Mobility and is scheduled for mass production and commercial deployment in 2027. The official debut ceremony will take place on the morning of April 24 at Geely Group’s Technology Ecosystem Pavilion. As the core operational platform for Geely’s Robotaxi initiative, CaoCao Mobility has established a closed-loop ecosystem encompassing intelligent vehicle customization, autonomous driving technology, and smart operations, positioning itself as one of the few global mobility tech platforms with full-chain Robotaxi capabilities. The launch of this native Robotaxi prototype marks a new phase in China’s development of purpose-built autonomous vehicles and is expected to accelerate the transition of autonomous driving technology from testing to large-scale commercial application.
