2026-05-07 20:53:00On May 7, SAIC-GM-Wuling officially launched the Baojun HuaJing S, with a starting price of approximately RMB 150,000. This model marks the first flagship vehicle co-developed by Wuling and Huawei. Built on the Tianyu Architecture L platform and featuring a new energy design language, the HuaJing S sports a full-width headlight strip and a large hexagonal grille. It measures 5,235 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,105 mm and a six-seat layout. The trunk offers a capacity of 423 liters. Inside, the HuaJing S features Huawei’s HarmonyOS cockpit, available in two interior color schemes: Sandalwood Brown and Ivory Beige. The cabin adopts an enveloping design and includes a fully digital instrument cluster, a floating central touchscreen, and a dual-tone multifunction steering wheel. Rear passengers are treated to dual side-mounted tray tables and an overhead screen. The vehicle integrates Huawei’s in-cabin laser vision system and comes standard with the Qiankun ADS Pro enhanced intelligent driving assistance system, supporting urban Navigation Cruise Assist (NCA). Additional features include the Qiankun 360° Active Safety System, Sentry Mode, NearLink digital key, and full-scenario cloud services. For chassis performance, the HuaJing S employs a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension setup, complemented by electronically controlled continuously variable damping suspension. Comprehensive acoustic insulation optimization has been applied throughout the vehicle. In terms of structural safety, it debuts globally with an integrated hot-stamped front floor frame and an integrated hot-formed dual-door ring structure. The body utilizes a “five-longitudinal, eleven-transverse” underbody architecture, a cage-like six-ring body frame, and eight anti-intrusion beams across all four doors. It has successfully passed a stringent safety test involving an 80 km/h side impact followed by a 15-meter vertical drop onto a steep slope, simulating a rollover scenario. Powering the HuaJing S is SAIC-GM-Wuling’s first intelligent all-wheel-drive system. It pairs a dedicated 1.5T hybrid engine with the world’s first electromagnetic hybrid-specific DHT transmission. In low-battery conditions, it achieves a fuel consumption of 6.98 L/100 km. The two-wheel-drive version delivers a maximum output of 200 kW and peak torque of 310 N·m, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds. The all-wheel-drive variant produces a maximum output of 386 kW and peak torque of 620 N·m, achieving 0–100 km/h in just 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 190 km/h. The vehicle is equipped with a 42 kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering CLTC pure-electric ranges of 255 km for the two-wheel-drive model and 235 km for the all-wheel-drive version. It supports 3.5C ultra-fast charging, with the manufacturer claiming that just 12 minutes of charging can restore over 50% of its range.
