On May 8, the China Automobile Dealers Association released the latest one-year resale value retention rates for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). The Aito M8 ranked first with a retention rate of 85.3%, making it the only model on the list exceeding 85%. The Aito M9 followed in second place at 83.1%. The Tank 400 New Energy and the Buick GL8 PHEV secured third and fourth places with rates of 82.0% and 80.5%, respectively. At the bottom of the ranking, the Li Auto L8 posted a retention rate of 73.1%, still higher than some gasoline-powered and battery-electric vehicles. Multiple rugged off-road new energy models from the Tank series have shown stable performance in the used-car market, with retention rates ranging between 76% and 80%. Models such as the Baojun Bao 5, Leapmotor C16, Baojun Bao 8, Li Auto L6, Lynk & Co 900, Li Auto L9, and Li Auto L8 all recorded retention rates within the 73%–76% range. The high retention rates of the Aito M8 and M9 are attributed to their strong market demand, positive user reviews, broad application scenarios, and growing ownership base.
