XPeng has announced that the MONA L03 will make its global debut in Munich, Germany, at 19:00 Beijing time on July 16. This model is a globally synchronized launch, simultaneously unveiled and made available in both China and Europe. During the same event, XPeng will also unveil the latest advancements and strategic roadmap of its Physical AI technology. Pre-sales for the vehicle began on July 2, with a starting pre-sale price of RMB 143,800. Positioned as “the first smart and stylish SUV for young people,” it will be offered in both all-electric and extended-range variants. All trims are equipped with XPeng’s self-developed Turing AI chip: the Max trim features a single chip delivering 750 TOPS of computing power and runs the second-generation VLA distilled autonomous driving system; the Ultra SE trim comes with dual chips offering 1,500 TOPS and supports the full-featured second-generation VLA system. The exterior design was led by Juan Ma, former Ferrari exterior designer, in collaboration with a 23-country design team, embodying the “Vital Flow – Dynamic Vitality” design philosophy. Key proportions include a golden wheel-to-height ratio of 0.46, an ultra-wide width-to-height ratio of 1.20, and a sleek fastback silhouette. Features include frameless doors, flush side windows, integrated semi-hidden door handles, frameless 3D rearview mirrors, and a highly curved 3D rear windshield, achieving an aerodynamic drag coefficient (Cd) of just 0.228. Six exterior colors are available: Aurora Purple, Crescent Silver, Midnight Black, Starry Dusk Purple, Plum Sauce, and Eucalyptus Grey, all finished with BASF high-gloss clear coat using the 3C2B painting process. The interior offers two color schemes—Deep Space Grey and Cosmic Grey—and includes 256-color ambient lighting with soft wave effects, a MOMENTA matte soft-touch instrument panel, velvet headliner, and genuine metal-brushed speaker grilles. It features a 26.8-inch W-HUD and a sport steering wheel with dual satellite buttons. Rear headroom measures 985 mm, and the cabin includes 40 storage compartments. The front trunk offers 102 liters of space, while the liftback-style rear trunk provides 539 liters of standard capacity, expandable to 1,640 liters with the rear seats folded down. The vehicle integrates 23 ecosystem expansion ports (including 8 magnetic ports and 5 x 1/4" threaded mounts) and 7 charging points, supporting up to 6 kW of vehicle-to-load (V2L) external power output. The seats feature a 12-layer ergonomic “Cloud Comfort” structure: the driver’s seat includes standard ventilation, heating, electric lumbar support, memory welcome function, and 14-point “Cloud Massage”; the front passenger seat is the segment’s only zero-gravity seat with 14-point massage, plus ventilation, heating, and lumbar support. Over 90% of the cabin is covered with sound-deadening materials, complemented by a dual active noise cancellation system (ENC + RNC) and a dedicated noise-canceling chip. A 1.31 m² dual-layer silver-coated panoramic sunroof blocks 99.9% of UV rays. The audio system comprises a 20-speaker AI-powered setup with over 1,000W of amplifier power, supporting “AI Immersive Dual Surround” spatial audio and standard dual-headrest speakers for the driver. In terms of performance, the all-electric variant offers two CLTC range options: 525 km and 625 km, with an energy consumption of 11.9 kWh/100 km, 0–100 km/h acceleration in 6.6 seconds, and 3C fast charging capability—charging from 10% to 80% in just 19.1 minutes. The Super Extended-Range version delivers a maximum combined CLTC range of 1,330 km, with 315 km of pure electric range and a WLTC combined fuel consumption of 5.16 L/100 km, accelerating from 0–100 km/h in 6.8 seconds. The chassis features a front MacPherson and rear five-link suspension setup, paired with DCC intelligent variable damping shock absorbers and Bosch’s latest-generation IPB braking system. It achieves a turning radius of 5.25 meters and includes an upgraded Smart Motion Sickness Prevention Mode 2.0. Additionally, XPeng is launching a special ROAM Edition of the MONA L03, co-customized with brand ambassador Nana Ouyang. This edition features 20-inch sport wheels, a high-gloss black rear spoiler, body-colored caliper covers, and two exclusive interior themes: Viola Purple and Sakura Mist Pink. It upgrades to Nappa leather seats with bespoke ROAM embroidery and a custom “Time Traveler” infotainment theme. The intelligent driving system adds a new “Navigation-Free Roaming” feature, enabling one-touch navigation activation directly from Park (P) gear.
