XPeng New Energy Investment Co., Ltd. of Zhaoqing has filed a recall plan with China's State Administration for Market Regulation. Starting August 28, 2026, the company will recall 33,473 XPeng X9 vehicles produced between August 8, 2023, and August 11, 2025. The recall is due to a manufacturing process variation that may cause reduced air-tightness in the front air springs. Prolonged use under high-temperature and high-humidity conditions could result in slow air leakage, triggering warning lights and on-screen alerts. In extreme cases, this issue could affect vehicle handling and pose a safety risk. To address the issue, the company will replace the front air spring strut assembly with an improved version free of charge for all affected vehicles. Vehicles that have already received this updated component do not require further action.
