On August 17, Alibaba announced the official launch of its AI music model, HappyShrimp 1.0. The model can transform natural language inputs—such as users' emotions, stories, or memories—into complete musical compositions and understands professional music terminology related to music theory and arrangement. Using an end-to-end full-song generation approach, HappyShrimp holistically plans musical structure, simultaneously composes lyrics and melodies, and maintains long-range musical coherence. The model is now available on PC web browsers both in China and internationally, and users can access it via a designated experience URL.
