Octavia is a compact car from Skoda that has delivered more than 6.5 million units worldwide. The IIA learned from Skoda that the new generation of Octavia will be available in a variety of versions including diesel, gasoline, CNG (Compressed Natural Gas), MHEV and PHEV. According to previous news, this model will make its world premiere at the Skoda's headquarters in the Czech Republic on November 11.
The gasoline version of Octavia will be equipped with a 1.0T three-cylinder engine with maximum power of 81 kW, a 1.5T engine with maximum power of 110 kW, or a 2.0T engine with maximum power of 140 kW, matching 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission box. The model that matches the dual-clutch gearbox incorporates the 48V MHEV system, while the 2.0T model uses the 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox is to incorporate the four-wheel drive system.
The PHEV version uses a combination of a 1.4T engine and a 6-speed DSG gearbox with a maximum power of 150 kW and 180 kW. The G-TEC model is powered by CNG, and three gas tanks can store 17.7 kilograms of natural gas. The 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 96 kW and can be matched to a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG gearbox. The car is also equipped with a 9-litre fuel tank.
The diesel model is equipped with a 2.0TDI engine, which is divided into three types: 85 kW, 110 kW and 147 kW. It is matched with a 6-speed manual transmission, and a four-wheel drive system comes as option for the latter two.
