BAIC BJEV recently released its production and sales report for November 2019. The IIA was informed that the brand produced 2,943 new cars in November and sold 7,005 new cars, a decrease of 62.2% year-on-year. Cumulative production from January to November reached 27,494 units, and cumulative sales was 113,988 units, down 11.20% from the same period last year. Earlier this year, BAIC BJEV set an annual sales target of 220,000 vehicles, but the current sales data may indicate that this year's sales target will hardly be reached.
The report shows that in November this year, BAIC BJEV sales reached 7,005 units, a decrease of 62.2% from 18,732 units in the same period last year. From January to November this year, the brand's total sales reached 113,988 units, a decrease of 11.20% from 128,368 units in the same period last year.
In terms of production, 2,943 new cars were produced in November, a decrease of 83.2% from 17,566 in the same period last year. Total production in the first 11 months reached 27,494 units, a decrease of 72.21% from 98,924 units in the same period last year.
It is reported that the annual sales target of BAIC BJEV in 2019 is 220,000, but the current completion rate is only 51.8%. In 2019, BAIC New Energy launched a number of new models including the EX3, the EC5, the EU5 R600, the LITE and the EU7. Judging from the current data, BAIC BJEV is not far from its annual sales target of 220,000 vehicles. At the same time, in the face of the current downturn market environment, BAIC BJEV's challenges are not small. With the official release of the new brand BEIJING and the listing of EU7, BAIC BJEV hopes that the new products will drive the overall recovery of future sales.
