NIO's Q3 revenue exceeds 1.8 billion, YoY increase of 25%

NIO released the financial report for Q3 of 2019. In the third quarter, revenue was 1.836 billion yuan, an increase of 25% year-on-year, and an increase of 22.5% from the second quarter of this year. Its net loss was RMB 2.5217 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 10.3% and a month-on-month decrease of 23.3%.

In the third quarter, NIO delivered 4,799 new vehicles, an increase of 35.1% from the second quarter. Among them, 4,196 units of NIO ES6s and 603 units of ES8s were delivered, which directly brought NIO 1.735 billion yuan in revenue, a year-on-year increase of 21.5% and a month-on-month increase of 22.5%. In terms of cost control, NIO's sales and management expenses in the Q3 were 1.164 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 30.3% and a month-on-month decrease of 18.1%.

NIO expects a total of 8,000 new vehicles to be delivered in the Q4, an increase of 66.7% from the previous month, and the total delivery volume for the year is expected to exceed 20,000 units. In terms of financing, NIO Capital announced on December 30 that it had completed the first US dollar fundraising with a total fundraising of more than USD 200 million.

On December 28, at the 2019 NIO Day event, NIO released the new model EC6 and the new ES8, as well as a 100 kWh liquid-cooled thermostatic battery pack and a 20 kW home DC charging pile. Among them, the EC6 will be officially listed in July 2020, and to be delivered in September.
