The IIA learned from Tesla that the Chinese-made Model 3 will be officially delivered to consumers on January 7th, and a celebration event will be held on that day. It is reported that Tesla CEO Musk will attend the delivery ceremony in person.
January 7 is quite special for Tesla China. On this day of 2019, Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory officially laid the foundation stone, and on this day of this year, the Chinese-made Model 3 will be officially delivered to consumers. Tesla has completed the delivery of the first batch of Chinese-made Model 3 on December 30. The delivery target is 15 employee car owners, not domestic consumers who have already booked.
It is reported that the current daily output of Tesla Shanghai Gigafactory is 280 vehicles, and the production capacity is gradually expanding. The plant aims to produce 500,000 vehicles per year. In addition, the construction of the phase-II of the plant is progressing as scheduled, and the Model Y will be put into production here in the future.
